Where do you see clients?

+

Everywhere and nowhere - my practice is fully telehealth. You'll need to be physically located in Washington, Wisconsin, or Florida during our sessions, but otherwise you can show up from your couch, your car, or whatever quiet corner you can find.

Who do you work best with?

+

Adults who are tired of skating the surface. A lot of my clients are neurodivergent (diagnosed, suspecting, or somewhere in between), high-functioning on paper, and quietly exhausted underneath. If you've ever finished a therapy session thinking 'that was nice but nothing happened,' we'll get along.

What's a session actually like?

+

Conversational, collaborative, sometimes very serious, sometimes very funny. We follow what's alive for you that week. When something needs to go deeper than words, we have the option to use Brainspotting or parts work.

What is Brainspotting?

+

Brainspotting is a body-based therapy that uses where your eyes rest to access material held below conscious thought. It's particularly useful for trauma, stuck patterns, and the things you can feel in your body but can't quite explain.

How often will we meet?

+

Most clients start weekly so we can build momentum. Once things settle, some shift to every other week. We'll figure out a cadence that supports actual change without burning you out.

Do you take insurance?

+

Reach out and I'll share current details. I can also provide superbills if you have out-of-network mental health benefits - many plans reimburse a portion of session fees.

What if you're out of network with my insurance?

+

You can still work with me using out-of-network benefits. The easiest way to find out what your plan covers is to call the Member Services number on the back of your insurance card and ask about 'outpatient mental health benefits' for an out-of-network provider. Ask what your deductible is, whether it's been met, what percentage of the fee is reimbursed, and whether the visit requires pre-authorization. If you can, mention the CPT code for a typical 53-minute psychotherapy session (90837). After we meet, I'll give you a superbill to submit for reimbursement.

Are you LGBTQIA+ affirming?

+

Yes - fully and without caveats. Queer, trans, nonbinary, questioning, poly, kink-aware - you're welcome here exactly as you are. I don't treat your identity as the problem to be worked on, and I won't ask you to educate me on the basics. We can absolutely talk about the ways minority stress, family, faith, coming out, transition, or being closeted at work show up in your life, and we can also just talk about your ADHD or your grief without making it about your identity. Your call.

What happens in the consultation?

+

About 20 minutes, free, no pressure. You share what's bringing you in, I share how I work, and we both get a feel for whether this is the right fit. If it isn't, I'll do my best to point you toward someone who is.
