Insurance & Cost

The practical stuff.

Clear fees, honest information about insurance, and options if cost is a real concern. A free 20-minute consultation gives us both a chance to see if we're the right fit before you commit to anything.

Insurance

In-network provider with:

I am currently a preferred provider with the following insurance panels:

  • - Cigna
  • - Premera
  • - First Choice Health
  • - Lifewise

I am an out-of-network provider with most other insurance companies and can provide a superbill for you to file for out-of-network benefits. It is your responsibility to verify coverage with your insurance carrier before your first appointment.

Private Pay

Why private pay can be a better fit.

Using insurance for therapy can be helpful, but it comes with limitations many people aren't told about upfront. Private pay isn't the right fit for everyone - but for a lot of clients, it offers something insurance simply can't.

  • No diagnosis on your permanent record. Insurance requires a billable mental health diagnosis to cover therapy. That diagnosis becomes part of your medical record and can follow you into life insurance, disability, and security clearance applications. Private pay keeps your record between us.
  • More privacy and confidentiality. Insurance companies can request your session notes, treatment plans, and progress reports to justify continued care. Private pay means your story stays in the room.
  • You and I decide the treatment - not a case reviewer. Insurance often dictates how many sessions you get, how frequently, and which approaches are "medically necessary." Modalities like Brainspotting aren't always covered. Private pay lets us do the work that actually fits you.
  • No arbitrary session caps or forced discharge. We end therapy when you're ready - not when a benefit runs out.
  • Flexibility in length and pacing. Insurance typically only covers a specific session length. Private pay allows for longer intensives, brainspotting sessions that need room to breathe, or a slower cadence when that's what the work calls for.
  • A therapist with real availability. Because I keep a smaller caseload, private pay clients get a therapist who isn't stretched thin - with room for consistent scheduling and thoughtful, personalized care between sessions.

A limited number of sliding-scale spots are available for clients demonstrating financial hardship. Please ask during your initial consultation.
