ADHD therapy for the brain you actually have.

Whether you were diagnosed at seven, at thirty-seven, or you've spent years suspecting - you don't need to prove anything here. ADHD therapy with me is about understanding your wiring, unlearning the shame, and building a life that runs on your operating system.

Warm sunlit workspace representing a calm space for adult ADHD therapy

Who this is for

Adults navigating late-diagnosed ADHD, ADHD burnout, executive dysfunction, rejection sensitivity, chronic overwhelm, or the exhausting cycle of over-functioning to hide the struggle. Many of my clients are high-achievers, parents, creatives, professionals - the "you'd never guess" folks whose ADHD lives mostly in the tax on the inside.

How we work together

  • Nervous system first. Regulation isn't optional for ADHD brains - it's the foundation everything else is built on.
  • Values-based structure. Systems that work with ADHD (not neurotypical productivity theater).
  • Undoing the shame layer. Untangling ADHD from the "lazy / dramatic / too much" story you were handed.
  • Brainspotting and IFS-informed. For the trauma that often rides alongside undiagnosed ADHD. If you're curious how that works, I wrote a full guide on what Brainspotting therapy is.

What ADHD therapy is not

I don't diagnose ADHD, prescribe medication, or hand out worksheets that assume your brain works like everyone else's. This is therapy for the emotional, relational, and identity work that comes with living in an ADHD brain - not coaching, not a productivity bootcamp.

Related concerns I often see alongside ADHD

ADHD rarely shows up alone. Most of the people I see are also carrying anxiety, burnout, or old trauma that got tangled up with years of being told to try harder. We work with the whole picture rather than treating ADHD like a separate file.

What it costs and whether insurance covers it

Sessions are 55 minutes. I'm in-network with Cigna, Premera, Lifewise, and First Choice Health (Kaiser PPO), and I provide superbills for out-of-network reimbursement. Current rates, sliding-scale details, and how to check your benefits are on my insurance and cost page.

Where I see ADHD clients

Telehealth only, for adults physically located in Washington, Wisconsin, or Florida. Washington clients can also read my page on ADHD therapy in Washington.

Common questions about adult ADHD therapy

Do I need an official diagnosis to work with you?

No. Self-recognition is enough to start. I do not do formal ADHD testing, but we can absolutely work with the pattern you are already living with.

Is telehealth effective for ADHD therapy?

Yes, and for a lot of ADHD folks the reduced friction of not commuting is a meaningful part of why they finally stay in therapy.

What does ADHD therapy for adults actually cover?

The emotional and identity side of ADHD: shame, rejection sensitivity, executive dysfunction, chronic overwhelm, and building systems that match your wiring. It is therapy, not coaching or a productivity bootcamp.

Can you prescribe ADHD medication?

No. I am a licensed mental health counselor, not a prescriber. I coordinate with your psychiatrist or PCP when that is useful, and plenty of clients do this work with or without medication.

I was diagnosed late, in my thirties or forties. Is that common?

Very. Late diagnosis is most of my caseload, especially among women and people who compensated well enough that no one caught it earlier. There is usually grief in that, and we make room for it.

How often are sessions, and where can you see me?

Sessions are 53 minutes, typically weekly to start, by telehealth in Washington, Wisconsin, and Florida.
